Hey there, time traveller!

Of the many Winnipeg Blue Bomber defenders who showed well Friday, Joe Lobendahn looked really good.
Following a key interception in the third quarter, the fourth-year middle linebacker made his presence known again in the fourth, when he stopped Ticats running back Avon Cobourne short on a third-down gamble.
Bombers coach Paul LaPolice said defensive co-ordinator Tim Burke’s new system plays to the linebacker’s strengths, allowing Lobendahn to read and react more near the line of scrimmage.
“He’s in a different role; he’s not as much in a man-coverage scheme which we used a lot of times (last season),” LaPolice said. “(Lobendahn) has certainly done a good job.”
Lobendahn finished the game with the one pick and four tackles.
TAKEAWAY GAME: Winnipeg had four interceptions Friday. Mix in the one turnover on downs in the fourth quarter and the club had five takeaways in the game.
Not a bad start to the season, considering the Bombers were near the bottom of the league in that category a year ago (37, one more than Edmonton).
For the record, Alex Suber’s interception for the game-winning 66-yard touchdown was his first as a Blue Bomber. Same for Lobendahn.
According to the team media guide, the pick was his first in 37 games with Winnipeg.
Ian Logan’s two interceptions put him just two back of his season high of four in 2009.
