The club added 6-foot-7, 312-pound non-import OL Justin Sorensen to the practice roster Tuesday. The 25-year-old spent the last two seasons with the B.C. Lions, after being selected fifth overall in the 2008 draft. He’s expected to fill the depth role previously held by OL Chris Kowalczuk, who is out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his foot.
Injury report
Winnipeg went through a light workout Tuesday, so it was tough to gauge who was hurting and who was just resting. Coach Paul LaPolice said DB Jovon Johnson’s ankle is a concern, and DT Doug Brown’s broken big toe is still causing the veteran some discomfort. LB Marcellus Bowman (toe) will be evaluated today. DT Dorian Smith (ankle) is still a week or two away.
