They are the best and the brightest prospects in the Winnipeg Jets’ organization.

And they will be on full display for two practices here in Winnipeg next week before heading to Penticton, B.C. for the Vancouver Canucks Young Stars Tournament.

The Jets have invited 22 players to their rookie camp, including Mark Schiefele – drafted seventh overall by the club this past June – and fellow 2011 draft choices Adam Lowry, Zach Yuen and Austen Brassard. Also participating will be two Manitobans: former University of North Dakota star Jason Gregoire of Winnipeg and Brandon’s Shayne Wiebe, Swedish prospect Carl Klingberg and two goalies: Chris Carrozzi, who played 47 games in the ECHL last year, and Edward Pasquale, who appeared in 24 games for the AHL’s Chicago Wolves.

The team’s prospects will play three games in Penticton against prospects from the San Jose Sharks, Edmonton Oilers and Canucks before returning home.

The Jets’ main camp will begin Saturday, Sept. 17 with the team’s first exhibition games taking place three days later on Tuesday, September 20th with a split-squad game versus the Columbus Blue Jackets at MTS Centre and in Columbus.
