Injury Update

DT Doug Brown (shoulder) returned to practice on Tuesday, as did QB Buck Pierce and both men pronounced themselves afterward to be fit and ready to play Friday against the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton.

SB Terrence Edwards (hamstring) and DB Alex Suber (neck) both sat out practice on Tuesday but Bombers head coach Paul LaPolice said both men are expected back on the practice field Wednesday. LB Marcellus Bowman also sat out Tuesday, saying afterward that he is banged up but will play Friday.

Bombers head coach Paul LaPolice was asked Tuesday if he thought it was good the CFL official who blew a pass interference call late in Friday’s game between the Bombers and Montreal Alouettes was subsequently fired, even if the call in question did go Winnipeg’s way.

“It’s always good to have accountability in every walk of life, even the media,” LaPolice said to laughs from the assembled reporters. “What you guys say in August is forgotten…Nobody ever goes back on anything.”
