Hey there, time traveller!

On what’s been a quiet NHL trade deadline day for the Winnipeg Jets, there was a small rattle just hours before the 2 p.m. deadline.
Defenceman Adam Pardy, who was put on waivers Sunday night, was claimed by the Edmonton Oilers Monday just before noon. Pardy has played in 14 games for the Jets this season, recording one assist. A pillar on the Jets penalty-killing unit last season, Pardy played 55 games for Winnipeg, earning a permanent spot in the top-six after a slew of injuries to the team’s blue line.
He played a total of 129 games over the past three seasons with Winnipeg. He has one goal for the Jets, coming during last year’s playoffs. He also has 16 regular-season assists.

Pardy was previously placed on waivers by the Jets in 2013. He cleared and was reassigned to the Jets AHL affiliate in St. John’s at the time.
Pardy, 31, has a current salary of US$1 million and is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.
