CALGARY — Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris has been ruled out of Saturday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders.
It will be the second game in as many weeks Harris will miss since sustaining a lower-body injury in the first half of a 17-10 win over Saskatchewan in the Banjo Bowl at Investors Group Field.
The loss of Harris is a blow to the Bombers offence — he had been averaging nearly 90 yards rushing and scored four touchdowns in the previous five games before his injury — but one Winnipeg is confident it can overcome.

With Harris out, Timothy Flanders gets his second consecutive start. Flanders rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in Winnipeg’s 46-29 victory over the Toronto Argonauts last Saturday at IGF. He also had four catches for 34 yards.
Meantime, receiver Ryan Smith will slot back into the lineup after missing last week with an injured thumb he sustained against the Riders.
