GAME BALLS:
OFFENCE
Bombers quarterback Michael Bishop and receiver Otis Amey had outstanding nights and led the offence to the best night they’ve had in some time.
DEFENCE
Winnipeg’s entire defence was at its best, from Doug Brown and his beefy brethren on the D-line, to Joe Lobendahn and the linebackers and finally Lenny Walls and the secondary.
The defence had been pushed around a bit in three straight losses but they were tough again as they shut down the Argos.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Lots of heroes, from Alexis Serna and his four field goals to some excellent work by the kick coverage units and the crafty Jovon Johnson returning kicks.
CRITICAL NUMBERS:
1 – After three straights losses the Bombers climbed up off the canvas and kept their season alive with a win, their first in four games. That moves the club’s record to 4-8 and keeps them in the playoff hunt.
