KEY PLAY

The Ticats lead 28-20 in the fourth quarter when Quinton Porter finds Drisan James for a 56-yard TD that puts the home side ahead for good. The score doesn’t matter in a pre-season tilt, but this TD sealed the deal.

KEY PLAYER

Former Bomber QB Kevin Glenn completed 16-of-26 for 196 yards and two TDs against zero interceptions in one half of work. If there were any doubts — and there weren’t many — the veteran pivot clearly established himself as the Ticats No. 1 gun.

KEY STAT

The numbers are meaningless, but the Ticats did hold onto the ball for 37 minutes and 15 seconds, almost a full quarter more than the Bombers. Winnipeg must also clean up this ugly number: 14 penalties for 67 yards.
