Country star Bryan returns to Winnipeg

Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 34-year-old woman last heard from almost a week ago.

Tamara Stevens, who also goes by Tammy, was last heard from on Sunday last weekend and was reported missing Tuesday morning, said a Thompson RCMP news release Saturday.

RCMP and family are worried for her well-being.

Stevens is believed to be in Thompson and is described as 5'7, with a slender build and long red hair, said RCMP. She also has a piercing on her lip and was last seen wearing black T-Shirt featuring the Twilight character Jacob, pants and work boots.

Country-music superstar Luke Bryan returns to Winnipeg April 25 for a concert at the Canada Life Centre.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster. Prices were not announced.

California’s Chayce Beckham, who in 2021 won Season 19 of American Idol, and Saskatchewan singer Tenille Arts will open for Bryan.

Bryan performed two shows at the downtown arena on back-to-back nights in May 2015 and played Dauphin’s Countryfest in 2017.

If I were Pierre Poilievre, I wouldn’t be just thinking about becoming the next prime minister. I’d be thinking about legacy in larger terms — meaning how would I ultimately want to be remembered.

And I would want to be remembered as the politician who, even if not having achieved the ultimate goal of becoming prime minister, left the political world as a respected statesman. As such, with respect to trade and the relationship with the United States, I would be guided by the following maxim found in Tom Brodbeck’s Aug. 12 column: The goal should be to maximize Canada’s leverage while reducing its vulnerability.
