Roots-rock veterans Blue Rodeo will fuel the Winnipeg Jets’ welcoming party at the After Burner social.

The party is being held at the Winnipeg Convention Centre on Oct. 9, the day the National Hockey League team plays its first regular-season home game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Tickets to the party are $43, on sale Monday at Ticketmaster.

The doors will open at 2:30 p.m. and the game — scheduled to start at 4 p.m. at the MTS Centre — will be broadcast live on four giant television screens.
