“I’m reading a book about when the artists Van Gogh and Gauguin lived together for about a year in the south of France, The Yellow House: Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Nine Turbulent Weeks in Provence by Martin Gayford. I picked it up when I was over there last month on vacation. I’ve been a Van Gogh fanatic for about seven or eight years. I’d seen his stuff since I was born, but I’d never seen it in person until I went to his museum in Amsterdam and that hooked me — I realized what all the fuss was about. Since then I’ve been going to some of the greatest museums in the world to see his work.”
