KISS bassist Gene Simmons will be in town tonight as part of his Rich and Famous tour talking about how he became rich and famous.

Simmons will speak about his life and how he built the KISS brand from a hard-rock group into a multimillion-dollar franchise with merchandise ranging from figurines to coffins. Fans will also get a chance to ask him questions during a Q&A session following his speech.

Simmons will appear at the Centennial Concert Hall tonight at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $46.25 to $130.50. There are still plenty of seats left.

Manitoba RCMP have arrested an inmate who escaped from Milner Ridge Correctional Centre Wednesday.

Mounties apprehended Justin Paul at about 11 a.m. Thursday near Highway 11 and Minnewawa Street W in Lac du Bonnet.

Court records show Paul was in custody charged with multiple offences, including assault, uttering threats, robbery, theft and numerous weapon offences.

Last April, Paul pleaded guilty to failing to appear in court and was sentenced to six months probation.
