The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have beefed up arguably their deepest position on the depth chart — the defensive line — with the signing of two more prospects today.

Coming aboard are D-linemen Dorian Smith and Keith Saunders.

Smith (6-foot-3, 280, Oregon State) spent three weeks on the practice roster with Winnipeg last season after starting in his final season of college with the Beavers and attending the the training camp of the Washington Redskins.

Saunders (6-foot-3, 240, Alabama ) was a two-year starter with the Crimson Tide and registered 33 tackles as a senior from the linebacker position. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins last year before being cut in training camp

“These two players have impact capabilities. We really want to create pressure off the edge,” said Bomber head coach Mike Kelly. “We want to compliment our interior defensive linemen with speed guys off the edge, which is where they fit in.”
