WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ three-game win streak continues to draw attention from influential people.

Both receiver Adarius Bowman and defensive back/returner Jovon Johnson were honoured today for their work in Monday’s 38-28 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as the CFl’s offensive and special teams players of the week.

Bowman pulled in 10 passes for 213 yards and two TDs in the win over Hamilton, becoming the first Bomber player to reach the 200-yard mark in receiving since 2007 when Derick Armstrong accomplished the feat against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Johnson, meanwhile, was named the top special-teams player for the second consecutive week after returning three kickoffs for 115 yards and eight punts for 69 yards.

Montreal defensive back Jerald Brown was the top defender while Saskatchewan’s Mike McCullough, a linebacker, was named the top Canadian.

The Bombers return to the practice field this afternoon in preparation for Sunday’s home game against the B.C. Lions.
