Hey there, time traveller!

"ö A CFL source said former Utah star Louie Sakoda, the kicker signed Wednesday by the Roughriders as a possible replacement for the injured Jamie Boreham, was actually acquired as part of a neg-list deal with the Bombers. One of the players the Bombers got in return and have placed on their negotiation list is former Georgia quarterback D.J. Shockley. Shockley finished third in the voting for Associated Press Player of the Year in 2005, behind Reggie Bush and Vince Young, before being drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. He was released in September, then added to the Falcons’ practice roster.
"ö The Bombers may add an RB and a kicker to their practice roster in the next few days to bolster their depth for the stretch run.
"ö The Bombers named Alexis Serna their special-teams player of the game on Monday and Kelly is content to roll with him as the punter for the rest of the season. "He might not drive the ball like Mike (Renaud) does," Kelly said, "but he can place it where we need it placed."
"ö Memo to the good folks at TSN: Twice this season we’ve seen a graphic that lists Allen Pitts as the CFL’s all-time receiving-yardage leader. Former Bomber Milt Stegall actually tops that chart now, having passed the former Stampeder last September.
"ö Skipping Wednesday’s Bomber workout was RB Fred Reid. LB Joe Lobendahn returned to the practice field and was working with the No. 1 defensive unit. Head coach Mike Kelly hinted it would be unlikely the team would dress two backup import linebackers, and Derrick Doggett has been a dynamo on special teams, so…
"Barrin (Simpson) understands what his situation is and how it all fits, and I’m sure he’ll be responsive to what we ask him to do in order for us to be successful," Kelly said.
"ö News from the Lions’ Den… CFL sack leader Ricky Foley broke his thumb in last week’s win over Edmonton but still plans to continue playing this season. WR Emmanuel Arceneaux fractured a finger in the loss, but should also be good to go against Winnipeg. Meanwhile, SB Paris Jackson, who missed last week’s game with a bum knee, has resumed practising and will be back in the lineup.
