Derrick Doggett is already having an impact with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
To make room for the special teams dynamo, the local CFL club made a roster move before practice today, releasing wide receiver Jabari Arthur.
The 27-year-old from Montreal has not see any action this season, having been sidelined with injury. Since coming over from the Calgary Stampeders via a trade last September, Arthur has never dressed for the Blue and Gold. He did not dress for a game in 2009 and has ever recorded a catch in his two CFL seasons.
Besides Doggett, who played for the Bombers last season, there’s another new/old face on the practice field today.
Markus Howell, the Winnipeg-native, was also working out on the field today, taking his turn with the receiving corps.
The 35-year-old last played with Calgary.
The Bombers take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Friday in Steeltown.
