The Manitoba NDP said today it would guarantee that Manitoba families pay the lowest combined bills in Canada for electricity, home heating and auto insurance.

“This guarantee will help families pay the bills,” Premier Greg Selinger said at a news conference.

To back his commitment, Selinger said Manitoba’s Crown corporations will establish special rate stabilization reserve funds.
