COLUMBUS — With flashes flying and shutters clicking, goalie Chris Mason led the new Winnipeg Jets jerseys into the NHL.
Mason and his teammates took the ice for warmup at Nationwide Arena at 5:30 p.m. CT clad in their away white jerseys, the first look at fully uniformed Jets since the team morphed from the Atlanta Thrashers this summer.
Defenceman Ron Hainsey was right behind Mason onto the ice at Nationwide.
Team governorn and co-owner Mark Chipman was present for the first live look at players in white jerseys, blue pants and white socks with the team’s blue stripes.
Tonight’s game here against the Columbus Blue Jackets was scheduled to start just after 6 p.m. CT.
