WINNIPEG — A Progressive Conservative government would invest in an $8 million, 60,000 square foot recreation complex in south Winnipeg.
PC leader Hugh McFadyen made the announcement Saturday morning at Judy Eastman’s campaign office in Southdale.
The multiplex would include two full-size ice rinks, a fitness centre and auditorium.
The government would work with the city to determine the location, McFadyen said.
The project would be funded through the PC’s Community Investment Fund, he said, announced previously in the campaign.
McFadyen was flanked by Eastman, along with fellow PC candidates Gord Steeves, Mike Brown and Rochelle Squires.
