 Mark Scheifele has made his decision.

The standout Jets rookie has selected No. 55 to wear on his back for the upcoming NHL season.

He has previously worn No. 45 during training camp, but after signing his contract on Monday hinted a jersey number change was in the offing.

Scheifele stepped onto the ice at the MTS Iceplex this morning with 55 on the back of his helmet.

In other number news, blueliner and Winnipeg product Derek Meech will wear No.7, while injured forward Kenndal McArdle will wear No.23.
