Hey there, time traveller!

Injured Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce has pronounced himself fit and ready to start this Sunday against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL East Division final at Canad Inns Stadium.
“I feel really, really good. Percentage-wise, I feel like I can do everything that I need to do with limited aggravation. I’m very confident in it right now,” Pierce said Tuesday afternoon after practicing with his team at Canad Inns Stadium.
Asked if there was any doubt in his mind that he will start on Sunday, Pierce was unequivocal. “No. Obviously it’s not up to me, but I feel good.”
The man who will make the final determination on whether Pierce starts on Sunday was also upbeat after watching Pierce practise. But head coach Paul LaPolice also left himself a little wiggle room. “He threw the ball OK,” said LaPolice. “We didn’t have much of the movement stuff, but we’ll have more of the game plan in tomorrow so we can watch him move around.
“But I thought he made some nice throws and saw the field… Buck is our starter and if he can play, he will play. If we deem he can’t play after the next three days of practice, we’ll play our second string Alex (Brink). I just have to see him move around and see his ability to move and function. Today was a start. I thought he threw the ball well. I haven’t watched the film yet but I thought he saw things he well.
“But I don’t want him to be vulnerable in the pocket. We’ll make that determination in the next few days.”
Pierce sprained his knee against the Toronto Argonauts on Oct. 28 and missed his team’s final regular season game on Nov. 5 against the Calgary Stampeders.
Tuesday’s practice was the first time Pierce had formally practised since the injury — and it was also the first time the Bombers were on the practice field since last Thursday.
The team had an abbreviated practice that lasted barely one hour and will begin more intense game preparations starting on Wednesday.
