MONTREAL — Weather will be a factor here at Stade Molson Monday afternoon as the 2-12 Winnipeg Blue Bombers take on the 6-8 Montreal Alouettes in a CFL East Division Thanksgiving Day clash.

It has been drizzling steadily in Montreal all morning and the weather forecast is calling for a wet and cool afternoon as the Alouettes and Bombers do battle in a game that could finally and formally extinguish Winnipeg’s slim playoff hopes.

The Alouettes would eliminate the Bombers and clinch a playoff spot of their own with a victory over Winnipeg Monday afternoon.

The two teams are 1-1 against each other in 2013, with the Alouettes winning the regular season opener in Winnipeg, but the Bombers winning the last time the two teams played in Montreal in Week 2.

It’s the only road win all season for the Bombers, who are riding a six-game losing streak on the road coming into today. Winnipeg has, however, won in three of their last four visits to Stade Molson.

The Bombers game-time scratches are receiver Mike Sims-Walker, offensive lineman Chris Kowalczuk, defensive back Bo Smith and defensive lineman Zach Anderson.

Kickoff is scheduled for noon CT. The game is being broadcast live on TSN and CJOB.
