The Winnipeg Jets scored three goals in the first and another three in the third period to edge the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-4 at the MTS Centre Thursday night.

Mathieu Perreault led the way for the homeside with a four-point night, collecting a goal and three assists in the win. Mark Scheifele, Adam Lowry, Dustin Byfuglien, Drew Stafford and Blake Wheeler also scored for the Jets who improved to 14-13-2.

Boone Jenner, Scott Hartnell, and Cam Atkinson with two, scored for the Jackets, who with the loss fall to 11-17-2 this season.

Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck made 25 saves to remain a perfect 4-0 this year. Curtis McElhinney made 28 saves in the loss to fall to 0-5-1 on the year.

ABOUT THE BLUE JACKETS

Columbus (11-16-2, last in the Metropolitan Division) lost their last game in overtime, falling 3-2 to the Los Angeles Kings at home Tuesday night.
Columbus’ No. 1 goaltender, Sergei Bobrovsky, sustained a lower-body injury during the overtime loss to the Kings and did not finish the game. The club said Bobrovsky was undergoing tests Wednesday and called up goalie Joonas Korpisalo from the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters.
Bobrovsky had been red-hot — he was 9-4-1 with a 1.71 goals- against average and .943 save percentage since the beginning of November heading into the Kings game.
Columbus is 7-9-0 on the road this season and just 4-7-2 at home.
The Blue Jackets are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games and have allowed just 12 goals in their last seven games.
Centre Ryan Johansen and left-winger Scott Hartnell share the scoring lead for Columbus. Hartnell is tied with centre Boone Jenner for the team lead in goals with 11, while Johansen has the team lead in assists with 14.
