Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and 680 CJOB have agreed to a six-year extension, the team announced Thursday.
The current deal was set to expire at the end of next season, but that partnership will now live on through the 2024 season, and includes Global Winnipeg as the official community television partner of the Winnipeg Football Club.
“For years, the voice of Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Irving and 680 CJOB have been synonymous with Blue Bomber football,” team president and CEO Wade Miller said in a statement. “We look forward to continue working with the talented Corus team.”
Indeed, Bob (Knuckles) Irving has been a mainstay with the broadcast team over the past four decades. He called his first game in 1974.
“The Winnipeg Football Club has been in existence for nearly 90 years and I’m excited to be a part of something that means so much to our citizens,” Irving said in a statement.
CFL hall of famer and former Blue Bomber defensive tackle Doug Brown — who writes a regular column in the Free Press — has been in the broadcast booth with Irving since 2012, providing insight and analysis.
“You may not suspect it by looking at him but Bob Irving is actually capable of carrying me for several hours on game day,” a laughing Brown said. “But on a serious note, since I’ve known football in Winnipeg, I’ve known it to be on CJOB. I’m thrilled that this relationship will continue.”
