WINNIPEG — Looking to get totals down to a more manageable number, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers subtracted some bodies from the training camp roster today.

The club announced the release of import WR Greg Betterson, import DL Dashawn Cassell, import DL Andre Carroll, import DB Andre Jones, and non-import DB Giancarlo Rapanaro.

Betterson (who had two catches for 13 yards in Thursday’s pre-season game in Montreal) might count as the most surprising cut in the bunch, but with the return of fellow import Damian Sherman to practice today, his value became expendable.
