Shuffle in, shuffle out
The Bombers have released OL Kyle Sleightholm, DL Keith Saunders, P Bradley Pierson, OL Doug Amouzouvi and SB Tyrone Timmons and added OL Lorne Plante, WR Terry Firr and LB Johnny Baldwin. WR Chris Jackson has returned home to deal with a family illness.
Say what?!
“I wasn’t sure whether to evaluate them or read them, as many tattoos as they had on them. It’s important we have some homegrown talent in here and I’m pulling for them to show their skills.” — Head coach Mike Kelly on Plante and Firr.
Tough news
LB Thaine Carter, who suffered a separated shoulder last week after an impressive start to rookie camp, will have the injury evaluated in the next few days. If he has surgery, he’s gone for the year; if he chooses to rehab it, he could return to Queen’s University for this season.
