Hey there, time traveller!

A THIRST FOR FIRSTS:
QB Stefan LeFors and coach Mike Kelly have often kidded about how they have their wagons hitched to each other and, in addition to Friday’s victory being the head coach’s first as a Bomber, it was also the pivot’s first as a starting pivot after five cracks as an Eskimo and last week’s loss in Edmonton.
“I’m glad we were able to get the proverbial monkey off our back together,” LeFors said. “And the fact that came in front of the home crowd… you couldn’t find a better way to do it. It was a special night, for sure, top to bottom. It started earlier in the week with the (Derick) Armstrong incident and how we tried to put that past us. We had a productive week of practice and that carried over to that. And then you have the Milt Stegall thing, coach Kelly’s home debut, my first game at home… it was a nice ending to all that.
“We can sit here and say week in and week out that our timing has to get better, it’s coming together and it’s going to take time,” added LeFors. “That’s all true, but you like to see some results in all the work you’ve been doing and this was a first step in that. We’ve still got a lot to get better on, but it’s good to see results.”
ROSTER SHUFFLE:
The Bombers dumped three players from their practice squad on Saturday, releasing WR Scott Mitchell (who decided he couldn’t afford to stay on the PR) along with DB Nick Kordic and DE Montez Murphy. WR Kyle Smith remains and the Bombers apparently have a recently released NFL pass catcher en route for Monday’s practice. New D-tackle Pat MacDonald, acquired in last week’s trade with Calgary, will likely join the Bombers after the trip to Hamilton.
