He may have played less than a half, but
Alouettes QB Anthony Calvillo was out-
standing. The 38-year-old veteran threw
for two touchdowns and was good on 13
of 21 passes for 164 yards.

▼ DEFENCE

We gave Alouettes LB Chip Cox a ton of
love on the front page, but he also got
some help from his defensive mates who
registered five sacks and kept the Bomb-
ers to under 200 yards passing.

Bombers return man Jovon Johnson
got his club close in the third quarter
after returning a Damon Duval punt 74
yards for a touchdown that narrowed the
Alouettes lead to 24-17. It was Johnson’s
second kick-return score of the season.

SICK BAY UPDATE

Bombers QB Steven Jyles did not finish
the game, leaving with 5:31 left in the
fourth quarter after being sacked by
Alouettes defensive end Anwar Stewart.

Bombers left tackle Luke Fritz left the
game in the first half, forcing the Bomb-
ers to juggle their offensive line. Steve
Morley moved from right guard to Fritz’s
spot at tackle, Brendon LaBatte slid over
from left to right guard with rookie Chris
Greaves taking over at left guard.
