WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS (2-5) at MONTREAL ALOUETTES (5-2)

When: Tonight, 6:30 p.m. TV: TSN. Radio: CJOB

Vegas line: Montreal by 11

Winnipeg line: QB Steven Jyles gets the call for the Bombers. SB Terrence Edwards leads all receivers with seven TD catches. Seven games in and RB Fred Reid has yet to reach the 500 yard mark. Justin Palardy is the kicker this week. Winnipeg is minus-five in the turnover ratio, while Montreal is plus-nine. The Bomber defence has allowed 205 points (nearly 30 a game). Only Edmonton (239, 34) is worse.

Montreal line: This team is not happy losing to the Argos last week. QB Anthony Calvillo has 15 touchdown passes against just three interceptions. DE John Bowman remains tied with Winnipeg DE Phillip Hunt for the CFL lead in sacks (six). KR Tim Maypray has returned two missed FG attempts for TDs. The defence allows just 87 yards a game rushing.

Bottom Line: Could be a case of ‘wrong place, wrong time’ for Winnipeg.

HAMILTON TIGER-CATS (3-4) at TORONTO ARGONAUTS (5-2)

When: Friday, 6:30 p.m. TV: TSN.

Vegas line: Toronto by 2 1/2

Hamilton line: After starting 1-4, the Tiger-Cats are riding a two-game win streak (victories over the Bombers). The secondary is last in interceptions (four). SB Arland Bruce III leads the CFL with 744 receiving yards. LB Jamall Johnson continues to pace the best front seven in the country. His 45 tackles is a league-best.

Toronto line: Montreal held RB Cory Boyd to 63 yards on the ground last week, but he still leads the CFL (711 yards). Prior to his 163-yard performance against the Als, WR Chad Owens had just 129 yards receiving in six games. The Argos are last in team passing with 1,516 yards. The defence is allowing over 450 yards per game. After a bye next week, these clubs see each other again on Labour Day.

Bottom line: Five wins? Jim Barker has already won coach of the year.
