GAME BALLS: OFFENCE

Not a bad debut for WR Greg Carr, we’d say. The rookie out of Florida State had two touchdowns and 163 yards receiv­ing in his first professional start — in the first half. The 6-foot-6, 214-pound Carr finished his night with 185 yards before leaving with a leg injury.

DEFENCE

Bombers DE Odell Willis took a couple bad penalties but he gets the ball for his strip sack of Montreal QB Anthony Cal­villo early in the final quarter. Winnipeg LB Joe Lobendahn picked up the loose ball at the three-yard line and strolled in for the major.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Winnipeg’s Jovon Johnson was on the brink of breaking one all night, including a 57-yard scamper along the Winnipeg sideline at the end of the first half. He finished his night with 91 punt return yards.

The number of career catches Montreal receiver Ben Cahoon has after Friday’s action, making him just the ninth pro football player (CFL and NFL) to reach the milestone.
