The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced a record profit of $6.6 million for the 2010 CFL season on Wednesday. It's the second year in a row the Riders have recorded a record profit and second year in a row they've effectively doubled up on the previous years total. The Riders earned $1.6 million in 2008 and $3.1 million in 2009.

Tweeter beware

Paul LaPolice says his club has a simple policy when it comes to players sending messages out on Twitter. “If you’re comfortable that you could say it in front of five million people at the Grey Cup at half-time, go ahead and post it,” LaPolice said Wednesday. “Otherwise, you probably don’t need to post it.” The Tiger-Cats cut RB Conte Cuttino, who twice sent out tweets Sunday a regarding teammate’s injuries.
