ABOUT THE JETS: Out to an 0-3 start after dropping road games in Chicago and Phoenix last week… Goals tally is 13-5 in favour of opponents… Power-play chart is as bad — opponents are 3 for 12 while Jets are 0 for 13… Tonight’s game starts a hectic week, as Winnipeg goes to Toronto on Wednesday, Ottawa on Thursday, then returns home for games Saturday against Carolina and Monday against the Rangers.
ABOUT THE PENGUINS: At 3-1-2, coming to Winnipeg off their first regulation loss of the season, 3-2 against Buffalo… Pittsburgh star centre Sidney Crosby has yet to play this season because of a concussion suffered last January, though he has been cleared for full practice… Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin has missed three of the team’s six games this season with knee trouble, including the last start against the Sabres.
