THE Winnipeg Blue Bombers might want to add cigars to the Bomber Store inventory list.
Paul LaPolice will be passing the stogies around after the head coach and his wife Tina welcomed the arrival of a baby boy to the LaPolice home early Tuesday. Joshua Grady LaPolice was born at 4:22 a.m. at St. Boniface Hospital, tipping the scales at eight pounds, three ounces and measuring 22 inches in length. The LaPolice family already has a daughter, Payton.
According to the club, everyone is healthy and doing well.
The ‘Bomber baby watch’ has been in view for the last week or so, with the coach having it on his mind as the team travelled to Montreal over the weekend. On standby at both the hospital and at the airport Saturday, LaPolice did make it to the sidelines for Winnipeg’s 22-19 loss to the Alouettes Sunday.
The Bombers (4-11) return to the practice field at Canad Inns Stadium this morning in preparation for hosting the third-place Toronto Argonauts Saturday afternoon (3 p.m.).
