ALMA MATER: Vanderbilt

COLLEGE LIFE: Had to sit out the 2008 season due to NCAA transfer rules (went from Connecticut to Vanderbilt)

CFL RESUMÉ: Signed with the Bombers as a free agent in April 2010… Made seven catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns in a July 9 game against Toronto… Suffered a high ankle sprain in a July 31 game in Calgary, forcing him to miss seven games… Has 34 catches for 441 yards and three TDs this season.

WHICH SCHOOL DID YOU LIKE MORE: UCONN OR VANDY? They both were good schools. I don’t have anything bad to say about either place. I wasn’t happy with the football at Connecticut. That was the reason for leaving.

FAVOURITE TV SHOW: Dragonball-Z when I was a kid. I watch Martin or Fresh Prince now.

ON THE IPOD: Young Jeezy.

YOU DROVE A SCOOTER TO WORK ALL SUMMER. ANY CLOSE CALLS ON IT? None. I probably only fell once, but I didn’t fall — the bike fell… I couldn’t stay on it. But that’s it, though. Everyone respects me on the road and everything.

DID OTHER DRIVERS RECOGNIZE YOU ON THE ROAD? Naw, ain’t nobody honk at me yet (laughs). Maybe that’s a good thing.

GAME-DAY MEAL: Pasta, chicken, bananas.

FAVOURITE MOVIES: Independence Day, Devil, The Departed.

HERO? Jerry Rice.

THE HALL OF FAME RECEIVER. EVER MEET HIM? I met him at the Super Bowl in San Diego while I was living out there. His kids cut in front of me at the event I was at. I was a little upset, but my dad convinced me to go right up to Jerry and shake his hand. So I did. It was the best.

WON’T BOTHER TO ASK WHO YOUR FAVOURITE ATHLETE IS THEN. FAVOURITE TEAM GROWING UP: The 49ers, of course.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO AFTER FOOTBALL? This may sound strange, but I want to get into politics. I don’t want to run for office or anything, I just want to help society. I’m intrigued by it and it’s something we all need to be aware of.

REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT? I’m a registered Democrat, but that shouldn’t matter. Both sides should be able to work together to make a positive influence, I think.

THREE PEOPLE, DEAD OR ALIVE, TO ROUND OUT YOUR FOURSOME IN GOLF: Obama and Martin Luther King Jr. That’s it. I would love to hang with those guys.

IT’S EARLY IN YOUR CAREER, BUT YOUR BEST MOMENT AS A PRO: Catching my first touchdown pass (versus the Argos in Week 2). It was amazing.

BEST PERK ABOUT BEING A BOMBER IN WINNIPEG: When someone recognizes you as a Bomber or they find out you’re a Bomber, they immediately are nice to you. I like that. It’s a good first impression around town.

BEST THING ABOUT THE CFL: I don’t want to say there’s less pressure here — because there is pressure to win and produce — but there’s more of a relaxed vibe up here. It reminds me of college in a way.

FINALLY, HOW FAST DID YOU GET THE SCOOTER UP TO THIS SUMMER? It does a solid 35 km/h downhill, so watch out!
