THE 28th edition of the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival began with a bang on Wednesday night.
Festival-goers had the choice of 73 shows to attend on opening night, and 3,980 tickets were sold, fringe festival executive producer Chuck McEwen says
Four productions were sold out Wednesday night.

The opening-night record is 4,541 tickets sold, which was set last year when 68 performances were on offer.
