The Winnipeg Jets have recalled forward Nic Petan from the Manitoba Moose.

The move comes a day after the Jets lost forwards Joel Armia and Mathieu Perreault to injury in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals. Their status is unknown and the Jets didn’t hold a pre-game skate ahead of their game Friday night in Detroit against the Red Wings.

Defenceman Tyler Myers was placed on injured reserved retroactive to Oct. 28.

Petan, 21, has four goals and one assist for the Manitoba Moose this season.

The former Portland Winterhawks standout played 26 games last season with the Jets, scoring twice and adding four helpers. In 47 games with the Moose last year, Petan had nine goals and 32 points.

Petan was chosen in the second round, 43rd overall in the 2013 NHL Draft.
