The Winnipeg Jets have sent forward John Albert back to the St. John’s IceCaps, after returning from their recent road swing.
Albert, a 24-year-old center, was called up in early December after Evander Kane was injured. Although playing on the Jets’ fourth line, he scored his first goal in his first NHL game against the New York Rangers on Dec. 2. In all, he played in eight tilts for the Jets before being returned today.
Now, Albert rejoins the IceCaps, where he’s notched eight points in 23 games this year.
