Canadians hoping to avoid election day line-ups can cast their vote early beginning Friday.

Advance polling will run for four days, ending on Monday at various spots around the province. Voters can plug in their postal code at Elections Canada’s website to find out where their advance polling station is located and where their polling station will be on Oct. 19.

Polling stations are open from noon to 8:00 p.m.

In order to vote, you must be registered, which can be done online at Elections Canada here until Tuesday at 6 p.m.

It is possible to register at the advance polling stations, with a driver’s licence, your provincial or territorial ID card or any other government card with your photo, name and current address.

Alternatively, residents can register with two pieces of identification such as health card, birth certificate, social insurance number card, Indian status card, band membership card, or Métis card. One piece of identification must have your current address. For a complete list of accepted identification check here
