Bomber president and CEO Lyle Bauer told a league-sponsored media conference call Thursday that the club expects season-ticket sales to be down slightly this year, roughly five per cent. Current sales are at 17,039; last year’s base was over 18,000.

New blood

The Bombers made official on Thursday the signing of former Texas star Ramonce Taylor, who was last playing indoor ball after going through some legal scrapes. Taylor will be one of the main kick-return threats to replace Jason Armstead.

D-Day

Bomber rookies will be on the field twice today, 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Head coach Mike Kelly said the first major roster reduction will come after the club’s first preseason game at home June 17 vs. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats when they slice to 60 players.
