NO SURPRISE HERE: CFL announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday and there are no Bombers among them. Argo receiver Chad Owens was selected the offensive player of the week, Rider linebacker Jerrell Freeman was the top defender, Eskimo return man Kelly Campbell was the top special teams player while Ticat D-lineman Matt Kirk was honoured as the top Canadian for his work in Hamilton’s win over Winnipeg.
BIG SCARE: SB Terrence Edwards left practice Tuesday but he apparently just rolled his ankle and should be good to go against the Als. Edwards is second in the CFL in receiving (behind Arland Bruce III) with 35 catches for 687 yards and seven TDs.
