Hey there, time traveller!

Dear Miss Lonelyhearts: I’m a guy with mostly black walls in my place, and some grey tones in the bathroom and bedroom. I just met a new woman and her reaction when she came over was instant disgust. “What is this, the morgue?” she stated. Needless to say, we never go to my place anymore.
— Insulted, Downtown
Dear Insulted: It only takes one person to veto a relationship, and her first reaction to your house should have been a hot clue that this pairing had no great future. That’s unless you were OK with your style being mocked and having to change something as personal as the colour of your walls. Boo to her! Time to look for a woman who’s into a kind of dark world.
