HAMILTON – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will arrive back in Winnipeg with a full share of second place in the CFL’s East Division.
The Bombers rolled into Hamilton and turned the Tiger-Cats into shivering kittens as they dumped cold water all over the homeside’s plans of cementing their playoff plans.
Winnipeg’s 38-28 drilling of the Tabbies leaves both clubs with 6-8 records and tied for second in the East.
The season series is now tied at one win apiece and the clubs will meet one more time in their regular season finale on Nov. 8 in Winnipeg.
That game could very well award a home playoff date to the winner. Second place in the East comes with the division semifinal hosting rights.
The Bombers jumped out to a 21-0 lead at halftime and never looked back.
Not all was rosy following the game as the club picked up injuries to punter Mike Renaud and tailback Fred Reid.
