Dear Miss Lonelyhearts: My live-in guy and I tried to do the wild thing in the woods near our house in the country and I hated it. It was freezing! He wanted more the next day. Cars drive by frequently, and one going by was it for me.
He said, “But my old girlfriend used to do it.” That was a big mistake. “Then call her!” I said, then got my purse, went to my car and drove to my parents. He called, apologizing over and over, so I went home, but the relationship has not been good since, especially after I got even by talking about my old boyfriend and what he used to do. He said, “Why don’t you ever do those things for me?” I didn’t answer. The truth is I loved the other guy more.
Now we’re sleeping single in a double bed. I wonder if I should pack and leave. He’s so immature! I’m 22 and so is he, but there’s a world of difference. I don’t even know if I love him or not anymore.

Dear Unsure Now: It didn’t take much to torpedo this love boat. You are both young and seemingly not very deeply in love. Those foolish words about his old girlfriend and your revenge words were definitely worth a big fight. They are also worthy of tears and a big talk about boundaries when talking about sex with one’s ex, but those stupid words should not be the end of a truly loving relationship. It sounds like your relationship is not worthy of marriage, so why not go your separate ways now?
