Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 21/12/2017 (2846 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
Dear Miss Lonelyhearts: I ran into an old sex buddy at a Christmas party. I grabbed him and gave him a big hug.
This gorgeous guy had sampled every woman aged 18 to 30 that Winnipeg had to offer in the 1990s.
He has a religious wife now, four youngish children and is a pillar of respectability to all who never knew him in the biblical sense.
I didn’t know about his metamorphosis. He quickly pulled me behind a decorated pillar where he thought his wife couldn’t see us, and filled me in.
I started to laugh, and he got mad and told me to shut up because he had a right to change and to be respected for that change. I started to agree, and then had a flashback of four of us waking up in a bed, with him being the only guy!
“Remember the cabin?” I gasped, and started to roar just as his wife came and grabbed him. I said, “Oh, excuse me.”
Her face went red and then white and then red like a Christmas bulb. I staggered off to the bathroom and sat down in a stall and tried to catch my breath.
Then I saw her red dress come into the bathroom through the cracks in the stall door. She said she saw me go into the bathroom and asked me to come out. I lifted my feet off the floor and stopped breathing for a full minute until she finally left. I went home, rather than deal with that uptight woman.
What is wrong with people that they have to act like that? Our pasts are long gone, and new partners like her have nothing to fear.
Is he going to have to spend his whole life trying to duck all the women he gave pleasure to? — Just Don’t Get Her! River Heights
Dear Just Don’t Get Her: Feel sorry for her — it’s hard to be married to a former womanizer.
You can bet she knows of his past and is insecure about his sexual desires and behaviours when he’s off-leash.
If he fooled around a lot in the Winnipeg area, she may worry there are lots of women he has known intimately, and that they might tempt her weak hubby. He may have got carried away with his confessing.
She knows she’s only one woman and he was once used to a large number of women. They aren’t real to her until she goes out with him and runs into somebody who might not know he’s a good boy now.
And, let’s be honest: you were drunk and had your arms around him.
