Ogling friend’s stepmom a big no-no

Dear Miss Lonelyhearts: I am a guy with a big problem. I am in love with my best friend’s stepmom. She is fun and understanding and beautiful. She is younger than his dad by almost 20 years, so not much older than I am. I think she likes me because she always invites me to stay for dinner and cooks things she has heard me say I like. She is a great cook! On top of that she’s tall like I am and has an athletic body.

I am crazy about her and try to go over there every chance I get. But yesterday, I guess I was staring as she was turned around cooking, and my buddy took me outside on the deck and said seriously: “You got a thing for my stepmom?” I blushed and tried to deny it, but now I’m afraid he’ll stop taking me to his place

Dear Didn’t Mean To Stare: You’re probably off the dinner guest list, but that doesn’t mean he won’t stay friends with you. He just had to call you out on this. He knows his stepmom is attractive and young, and it’s uncomfortable and embarrassing to have a buddy clearly lusting after any female relative, whether it’s a stepmom, mother, sister or young aunt. But the good thing is this woman has provided you with a template. You might want to start looking out for a young woman who is tall, athletic, understanding and enjoys cooking. Meanwhile, stay away from your buddy’s house. He’s already given you a warning.
