Local lover getting boot for European suitor

Dear Miss Lonelyhearts: I went to Europe in the spring and met a guy there. We had a red-hot fling with sex and emotions and romance, but then I came home and it was all over. At least I thought so. I was frustrated and found myself a guy here at home. I'm too sexually oriented for long-distance relationships. Phone sex doesn't do it. I get a bad case of skin hunger.

Well, to my surprise, I just heard from my guy in Europe and he’s in love with me and coming over this summer at the end of July. He’s much more to my liking. So at what point should I break it off with my local guy?

— Torn Two Ways, Garden City

Dear Torn Two Ways: Now is the time. This European guy is coming over here in what amounts to a few weeks. It would be grossly unfair to keep the Winnipeg guy going until the last minute. Get your good vibrations from something that buzzes, and let the Winnipeg guy find another woman. He shouldn’t be your fill-in guy until Mr. European Hottie with the accent shows up.
